Roblox’s Dig It! has just launched its exciting 1.7.0 update, bringing a wave of fresh content and improvements.
This update introduces the Rainstorm event, expands the Valentine’s event, adds a Trade Hub, implements inventory filtering, debuts a new Exotic rarity, and includes numerous other changes and bug fixes.
Here’s a breakdown of everything new:
New Event: Rainstorm
The highlight of this update is the Rainstorm event.
During this limited-time event:
- A new item pool is unlocked everywhere on the map, consisting of various fish.
- Players can dig up over 30 new treasures related to the event.
- This is the first event to feature the new Exotic rarity.
- The Rainstorm event can now be purchased from Gandolf the Event Wizard
Valentine’s Expansion
The Valentine’s event receives an extension and new content:
- Extended Duration: The event has been extended by 7 days.
- New NPC: A “beautiful guy” named Cupid Hobo has appeared on the island (at the center).
- Broken Hearts: Collect Broken Hearts :brokenheart: and exchange them with Cupid Hobo.

New Feature: Trade Hub
A dedicated Trade Hub has been added for players to exchange items:
- Level Requirement: Level 10 is required to enter the Trade Hub.
- Booths: Trading booths are currently under development (W.I.P) and will be added soon.
New Feature: Inventory Filtering
Inventory management just got easier! You can now filter your inventory by:
- Rarity: All, Legendary, Mythical, Exotic, Secret.
- Type: All, Mounts.
- The symbols used in discord for the filters are: All :moneybag~1:, Legendary :royalmole:, Mythical :nuke:, Exotic(?), Secret :banhammer:, and Mounts :lunardragon:.
New Rarity: Exotic!!!
This update introduces a new item rarity above Mythical: Exotic.
- Limited Availability: Exotic items can only be obtained ONCE per event. Once a player digs one up, it’s gone for everyone else during that event.
- Current Exotic Items: There are currently two Exotic items, both available during the Rainstorm event.
Other Changes and Improvements
- New SFX
- New UI changes
- Special lighting for the Watchful Moon event
- Added some missing icons
- Fixed a lighting transition issue (day/night)
- Fixed animation track breaking issues
- Added WASD/Up/Down input to exit digging
- Fixed being able to equip two shovels
- Adjusted ship purchase menu for clarity (darker icons when locked, price label disappears after purchase)
- Ships now maintain initial rotation when spawned
- Fixed Dinghy’s orientation issue (upside-down spawning)
- Increased fame potion cooldown
- Claimed salary rewards now have darkened images
Hotfix 1.7a
- Added Megalodon Shovel:
- Can dig up fish with a lower chance outside the rainstorm
- Guarantees the Hydrated modifier
- Can be purchased from Finn the Sea Beast Enthusiast, who spawns randomly on map during rainstorm.
- Event Chance: Increased Rainstorm chance, lowered Lunar Clouds and Ionizer Shovel events.
- Secret Enchantment Buff: Buffed Secret Luck (tier 1: 2x, tier 2: 2.5x, tier 3: 3x).
- Trading Hub Portal: Added the portal for returning to main game to Trading Hub.
- Dig Cancelling: Fixed dig cancelling and completely removed the “you are tired” message.
- Solar Shovel Fix: Fixed not being able to offer stars for the Solar Shovel.
- Mobile Button Size: Decreased the size of the bottom-left equipment buttons to reduce conflict with the mobile joystick.
