Welcome to the captivating world of InZoi, the life simulation game from Krafton.
Just like in real life, your Zoi needs to earn a living to cover all their expenses – from paying bills and buying street food to trying their luck at the claw machine.
While you start with some money, it won’t last forever. That’s where landing a job in InZoi becomes crucial.
This guide will dive deep into the world of work in InZoi. We’ll cover how to apply for jobs, understand the different career types available, offer tips for climbing the career ladder, and explain how to quit or even the risk of getting fired.
We’ve also included a list of currently known jobs, complete with their salaries and schedules. Let’s get your Zoi ready for their career.
Why Does Your Zoi Need a Job in InZoi?
The short answer: money! Life for your Zoi in bustling cities like Bliss Bay or Dowon isn’t cheap.
There are regular bills to pay, tempting food stalls, lottery tickets promising riches, and various fun activities that drain the virtual wallet.
Without a steady income from an InZoi job, your Zoi will struggle to maintain their lifestyle. Beyond just funding, having a job is a core part of the life simulation experience InZoi offers, adding realism and purpose to the gameplay.
How to Get a Job in InZoi

Good news – finding a job in InZoi is much simpler than in the real world. Here’s how:
Using the ‘Career’ App on Your Zoi’s Smartphone
- Select the Zoi you want to find a job for.
- Click the smartphone icon located at the bottom center of the screen, or press the ‘P’ key on your keyboard.
- On the smartphone screen, find and click the purple app with a briefcase icon – this is the ‘Career’ app.
- You’ll see a list of available InZoi jobs in the city your Zoi lives in. This list is divided into ‘Full-Time’ and ‘Part-Time’ tabs.
- Browse the available options. Click on a job that interests you to see more details (though specific qualification details might be limited in the Early Access version).
- Once you’ve decided, click the ‘Apply’ button.
The Hiring Process: Quick and No Interview Needed
Forget lengthy recruitment processes! In InZoi, there are no interviews.
After hitting ‘Apply’, your Zoi will likely be hired almost immediately.
Some sources mention instant acceptance, while others state you’ll receive a confirmation via a short text message shortly after applying.
The bottom line is, the process is very fast and efficient.
Meeting Basic Qualifications: The Age Factor
The most obvious main qualification is age. Most InZoi jobs are open to Zois who are Young Adults, Adults, or Middle-Aged. You can check the “Eligibility Criteria” column in the Career app for specifics.
Important Exception: The Idol Trainee career at Adam Entertainment is only available to Young Adult Zois. Once your Zoi ages up to Adult, they will automatically lose this job. So, keep your Zoi’s age in mind if they’re aiming for idol stardom!
Understanding the Types of InZoi Jobs
Generally, InZoi jobs fall into a few main categories:
Active Jobs: Get Directly Involved
These are the most interactive job types. When it’s time for work, you will follow your Zoi to their workplace.
There, you need to actively control the Zoi to complete a series of tasks that appear in the To-Do List (usually in the top-left corner) before the workday ends.
Your direct involvement significantly impacts your Zoi’s performance and promotion chances.
Examples of active jobs include Cashier (at Convenience Stores, Furniture Stores, Surf Shops), Amusement Park Field/Office Worker, and, of course, Idol Trainee.
Passive Jobs (Rabbit Hole Jobs): Let Your Zoi Work Alone
For this type of job (often called “Rabbit Hole” jobs, similar to The Sims), your Zoi will simply ‘disappear’ from the map when their work hours begin – as if they went down a rabbit hole.
You cannot follow them or control their activities at work. You just need to wait for them to return home.
Although less interactive, these jobs still provide income. Examples include many office positions (Secretary, Developer, Analyst), Reporter, Lawyer, Professor, Football Player, Professional Gamer, Soldier, Firefighter, and even Gangster.
Full-Time vs. Part-Time
The key difference lies in the potential for career development.
Full-Time jobs generally offer longer career paths with multiple promotion levels.
Conversely, Part-Time jobs (like Deli or Burger Cashier) are usually shorter-term and, crucially, do not offer opportunities for promotions or salary increases based on performance, although a ‘Manager’ position might be available in some Part-Time locations like the Convenience Store or Surf Shop.
Consider this if your Zoi has high career ambitions.
How to Get Promoted and Succeed in Your InZoi Career
Earning promotions and higher salaries is a goal for many Zois. Here are tips to achieve success:
Key to Success in Active Jobs: Complete Daily Tasks!
For Active jobs, your performance is everything. Make sure you accompany your Zoi to work and focus on completing all tasks on the To-Do List on time.
The better your performance, the faster the promotion gauge will fill.
Zois left to work alone (without player control) in active jobs tend only to earn the base salary and find it difficult to get promoted.
The Role of Skills in Promotions
Initially, many believed promotions depended solely on attendance and task completion.
However, updated information (as of March 2025) suggests that promotions likely require a combination of consistent task completion and reaching certain skill levels relevant to the job.
As InZoi is still in Early Access, this needs further observation within the game.
Don’t Shorten Your Work Schedule
InZoi provides an option to edit your Zoi’s work schedule via the “Edit Schedule” menu.
While flexible, be careful! Shortening your Zoi’s work hours will likely hinder or even prevent them from getting promoted.
Monitor Your Zoi’s Career Progress
Regularly check your Zoi’s career progress through the Career app on their smartphone.
You can see their current position, salary, schedule, and sometimes a progress bar towards the next promotion.
Remember: No Promotions for Part-Time Jobs
Again, it’s important to remember that Part-Time jobs generally do not have promotion tracks or performance-based salary increases.
Salary and Work Schedules: What to Expect from InZoi Jobs?
Variety is key here. InZoi salaries range widely, starting from around 136 per day for entry-level positions like Rookie Idol Trainee, up to over 2000 per day for top-tier positions like CEO, Partner Lawyer, or Gang Boss. Salaries are paid per workday.
Work schedules also differ. Many jobs follow a 3-day work week pattern, but some are 4 days (like Firefighter) or even 5 days (like at Adam Entertainment).
Work hours vary too – some are standard 09:00-18:00, others finish earlier (09:00-15:00 for Lawyers or Football Players), or start later (Amusement Park 11:00-20:00).
Pay attention to the schedule when choosing an InZoi job to ensure it fits your Zoi’s lifestyle. For more details, check the job list below.
Location Specifics: Job Differences in Bliss Bay and Dowon
The city you choose for your Zoi at the start of the game significantly impacts the available InZoi jobs.
While some general careers might exist in both cities (like Developer or Reporter at different companies), each city has unique offerings:
- Bliss Bay (Inspired by Los Angeles): Offers unique careers such as Amusement Park Worker (Bliss Bay Amusement Park), Football Player (Bliss Bay Nautilus), Lawyer at Themis & Jones, Reporter at Bliss Bay Times, and even Gangster in the Westside Hustler organization.
- Dowon (Inspired by Seoul): Features distinct careers like Idol Trainee & Entertainment Staff (Adam Entertainment), Professional Esports Player (DG Esports), Firefighter (Dowon Fire Station), Lawyer at Justitia Law Firm, Reporter at Mirror of the Times, and member of the “street problem solver” organization (Dowon Solutions).
So, if your Zoi has specific career dreams, make sure they live in the right city!

When It’s Time to Leave: Resigning, Getting Fired, or Retiring in InZoi
Careers don’t always go smoothly. Sometimes a Zoi needs to quit, or is forced to leave their job:
How to Resign from a Job
If your Zoi wants to switch careers or just take a break, resigning is easy:
- Open the Career app on the smartphone.
- View the details of the current job.
- Look for and click the calendar icon with a small cross on the left side of the screen.
- Confirm your decision by pressing the red “Resign” button. Consequence: Your Zoi’s rank in that job will be reset to the beginning if they decide to reapply for the same career path in the future.
Reasons for Losing a Job Automatically
A Zoi can lose their job without actively resigning due to:
- Getting Fired: If a Zoi has more than 3 unexcused absences from work. You’ll receive a “Termination of Employee” text notification.
- Mandatory Retirement: Most jobs have a retirement age limit, typically when the Zoi reaches the Senior life stage. For Idol Trainees specifically, retirement happens when they age up to Adult. You’ll receive a farewell text message from the company.
Future Updates: Freelancer Jobs Coming to InZoi!
Good news for those seeking flexibility! The InZoi development team has announced plans to add a new type of InZoi job: Freelancer.
This feature is scheduled to arrive as a free update in May 2025.
One example mentioned is the Author career. This will certainly add more variety to how Zois can earn a living.
Conclusion
The world of InZoi jobs offers many choices and challenges.
Remember these key points: use the smartphone to apply, understand the difference between Active and Passive/Rabbit Hole jobs, pay extra attention to Active jobs if you want promotions, consider the city location for specific careers, and know how to resign or the risks of retirement/being fired.
Don’t forget to use the job list above as a reference!
